Week Thirtysix Review:

“Make n Take” Monday

Scented body wash is a fun way to wake up your senses in the morning or calm them down at night. Scented body wash can provide valuable nourishment to your skin if it contains the right ingredients. Try making this easy DIY Body Wash with essential oils.

Ingredients
8 ounce glass pump bottle
½ cup unscented Castile soap
4 tablespoons vegetable glycerin
3 tablespoons Fractionated Coconut Oil
10 drops of your favorite essential oil

Note: Vegetable glycerin will help the body wash be thicker, creamier, and lather better.

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients into glass pump bottle.
  2. Add desired essential oil(s).
    Tip: For an uplifting body wash try these essential oils: Citrus Bliss®, Peppermint, Grapefruit, Lime, or Eucalyptus. For a relaxing body wash try these: Lavender, doTERRA Serenity®, Bergamot, Geranium, or Roman Chamomile.
  3. Shake to combine.

Note: Make sure to shake before each use, as the ingredients will separate.

Tip off!! Apply to the skin while showering and inhale deeply to experience its calming aroma while enjoying its purifying skin benefits. You can also change regular tea to Earl Grey with the addition of Bergamot or apply to the feet before bedtime a calming and relaxing massage.

CALMING ANXIOUS FEELINGS TIPS:

• Take one to two drops of Lavender in a glass of water to help reduce anxious feelings.*

Week Thirtyfive Review:

“Make n Take” Monday

Hair perfume is a great way to leave those you pass by with the sweet and enticing aroma of essential oils. Lightly spray it on your hair to keep it smelling sweet and fresh. Feel free to switch up the essential oils used in this recipe to create your perfect aroma.
Ingredients
⅓ cup rose water
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
4 drops Rosemary oil
3 drops Lavender oil
4 drops Grapefruit oil*
Note: You can purchase rose water at most health food stores in the soap and hygiene aisle.
Instructions
  1. In fine-mist glass spray bottle, add rose water, vanilla extract, and essential oils. Add more or less essential oils depending on your preference.
  2. Shake and spray on hair as desired.

*Please note that citrus essential oils are photosensitive and can lighten your hair if exposed to UV rays.

Tip off!! Wintergreen has a warming effect when applied to skin and is excellent to use as a soothing massage. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly and dilute with Fractionated Coconut Oil to minimize any skin sensitivity.

“Make n Take” Monday

Cleaning Wipes

Cleaning wipes are great to have on hand when you are cleaning surfaces. They are easy to use and great to throw away when you are done. Simply keep them stored in an airtight container and use at your convenience.

Ingredients
1 roll premium paper towels
2 cups warm water
2 tablespoons Fractionated Coconut Oil
3 drops doTERRA On Guard® Protective Blend
1–2 tablespoons doTERRA On Guard® Foaming Hand Wash

Instructions

  1. Cut paper towel in half widthwise with serrated or electric knife. Use half roll now and half later.
  2. Combine water, Fractionated Coconut Oil, essential oils, and On Guard Foaming Hand Wash in a small bowl.
  3. Pour mixture over paper towels and cover with airtight lid. Let mixture absorb for 10 minutes.
  4. Turn container over and let sit for another 10 minutes.
  5. Remove and discard cardboard tube. Pull wipes from center of the roll when ready to use.

Week Thirtytwo Review:

“Make n Take” Monday

Lavender Dryer Sponges

Conventional dryer sheets contain mysterious ingredients, and can sometimes be expensive. Play it safe and save some money with this reusable DIY containing Lavender oil. Benefit from Lavender’s soothing properties to skin and sweet aroma as you soften clothes and fight off static at the same time.

Ingredients

1 cup hot water
½ cup white vinegar
½ cup baking soda
5–10 drops Lavender oil
5–10 simple sponges

Instructions

  1. Combine baking soda and hot water in a glass container with a lid and stir.
  2. Add vinegar and mix, then add Lavender oil and stir again until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Fill container with sponges, trimming sponges to fit if needed, and place lid on container.
  4. To use, shake up container, remove one sponge, wring out slightly, and place in dryer with wet clothes.
  5. After dryer cycle place sponge back in container and reseal with lid for future use.

Week Thirtyone Review:

“Make n Take” Monday

Bath time is about to get even more fun with these jiggly, jouncy jelly soaps. Not to be mistaken with actual jelly, these jumping jellies work hard to clean and soften skin while providing aromatic benefits of Bergamot, Grapefruit, Cedarwood, and Wild Orange essential oils. These are just as fun to play with as they are to use, so you may want to schedule an extra ten minutes into your morning routine. Please be sure to teach children that even if the soaps look and feel like they might be edible, they are not.

Ingredients
2 packets unflavored gelatin powder
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup doTERRA® Spa Refreshing Body Wash
3-5 drops Wild Orange
Natural colorant
Skin-safe glitter

Instructions

  1. Put unflavored gelatin powder in a mixing bowl, then pour water over the gelatin and stir.
  2. Add doTERRA® Spa Refreshing Body Wash and Wild Orange essential oil. Mix well until combined.
  3. Separate mixture into different containers, then add desired coloring to each. If you want them all to be the same color you can add the colorant directly to the mixture.
  4. Put skin-safe glitter in silicon molds, then pour mixture on top.
  5. Place in refrigerator until firm.
  6. Store in refrigerator before and after each use.

Tip: You can use Bergamot, Grapefruit, or another favorite essential oil in place of Wild Orange.

Ingredients
1 cup Epsom salt
10 drops Lavender oil
 
Instructions
  1. Add Lavender oil to Epsom salt and stir together
  2. Draw a warm bath and add ¼–½ cup of Epsom salt to bath
